In this role, you’ll provide high-level technical support to our clients, primarily remotely, with occasional on-site interventions in Chicoutimi. Your customer focus, autonomy, and ability to solve technical issues will make all the difference.
Job description
In this technical support technician role, reporting to the Sales Department, you will be responsible for :
- Provide remote and on-site IT support in Chicoutimi.
- Diagnose, install, configure, and repair hardware and software.
- Follow up on service requests and escalate to higher-level support when necessary.
- Contribute to IT project implementation, such as Microsoft 365 migrations or server environment deployments.
- Document all interventions in the ticketing system.
- Manage urgent situations and participate in internal projects.
Desired Profile
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualities:
Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
- Good understanding of networks and virtualized environments such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with Active Directory and remote support tools.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of macOS or Linux and cloud environments is an asset.
Personal Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication.
- Autonomy, initiative, and effective time management.
- Ability to work collaboratively, even remotely.
- Attention to detail in documentation and follow-ups.
- Technological curiosity and eagerness to learn.
- Calm and professional demeanor in urgent situations.
Experience & qualifications :
- Minimum of two years’ experience in technical support.
- Comfortable working remotely about 85% of the time.
- Experience supporting business clients is an asset
- Valid driver's licence for client visits.
- Fluency in French is required; English is an asset, as some of our clients operate exclusively in English.
