We are currently looking for a Junior Technical Support Technician under contract, who will be outsourced within the manufacturing sector in East Angus. This is a full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week, 5 days a week), with an initial duration of six months and the possibility of extension. The role also includes a competitive group insurance plan. Job Description
In this Junior Technical Support Technician role, under the supervision of the IT department, you will be responsible for:
- Provide first-level technical support to users and ensure resolution of IT incidents.
- Perform troubleshooting and configuration of the AS400 environment (debiting, RJ45 connectors, packet loss).
- Provide assistance for Webex / Cisco communication tools between servers and operations.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various printer models (Canon, HP, Xerox, Zebra).
- Contribute to the management and support of Active Directory, O365, and Zscaler.
- Intervene in industrial networking: switches, terminal servers, CCTV cameras, Excel macros.
- Collaborate with specialists for interventions on SAN systems (part replacements).
- Document interventions and follow up with users to ensure quality service delivery
Desired Profile
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills:
Expérience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in technical support
- A valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel.
- Fluency in French (written, spoken, comprehension) is essential. English is an asset, as some clients are English-speaking only.
Technical Skills:
- Recognized expertise in IT infrastructure management and networking.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, or SonicWALL) considered a strong asset.
Personal Qualities :
- Strong adaptability and autonomy to meet various challenges.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, even under pressure.
